There are analyzed the Americanisms in the novels by N. Hornby and their correspondence in Russian translations. There is noted the following in translation of Americanisms: absence of the equivalent in the text of translation, choice of lexically irrelevant equivalent, choice of the equivalent from a different national and territorial language variant, as well as inaccurate style qualification of the lexeme.
