There is traced the evolution of the poetic words “eyes” and “mouth” in the history of the Russian poetry, summarized the works devoted to the research of the poetic language. Based on the translations of the poetic works by A.S. Pushkin there are considered the ways of translation of the stylistically marked archaisms into the Kazakh language and the possibility of keeping their semantic and stylistic peculiarity.
