There is described the methodology of information and communication technologies use in the author’s elective course in geographic study of local history in the context of culturological, personal activity, competence and systemic approaches. There are formulated and substantiated the goals of the elective course - formation of information and communicative local geographical competence. There is joined its formation and the contents of the course and types of practical activities that presuppose the complication of tasks in the use of ICT.
