The article deals with the issue of ecological education of preschool children in the conditions of functioning of the regional innovative platform in kindergartens. The article presents the concept of environmentally friendly behaviour, describes the conceptual foundations of its formation referring to a child living in the city, in accordance with the requirements of the Federal state educational standard of preschool education.

There is considered the issue of establishment of ecological and pedagogic competence of future primary school teachers. There is shown its urgency in accordance with the requirements of the new Federal state educational standards to development of the ecological culture of primary school pupils. There is considered the potential of students training for ecological and pedagogic work in the process of implementation of the new Federal state educational standards.
