There are revealed the reasons for spiritual crisis of Olga Ilyinskaya, the character of the novel by I.A. Goncharov “Oblomov”. There is emphasized that the character’s searching is caused by inner reasons in spite of the literature tradition to determine her actions and emotional experiences by social factors.
