There are resumed the research results regarding the cognitive potential of discourse markers from the position of actualization and providing the correct interpretation of expressions that introduce new cognitive conceptions in the context of discursive correlation. The verification of the research results is carried out based on the authentic English language material with the use of the author’s method of automated text processing.

There are summarized the research results of the cognitive organization of the discourse markers as the attributes of discourse, the means of realization of the cognitive concept in speech and as a result the means of concept knowledge access.
