In the comparative aspect there are considered the sets of associations that appear in the minds of Rus-sian and German native speakers to the stimulating words road and Bahn. In each associative field there are sorted out the semantic groups and subgroups. Two groups are common in the Russian and German parts of the experiment, but still there are some differences in the associative fields of the stimulating words road and Bahn.
