There is regarded the problem of poetic cycle modality research. There is given the definition of poetic cycle as a special variety of a narrative text, analysed the language means of subjective authors modality realization in lyric cycles of Catullus and Dante, defined the text modality role in authors concept love formation in every cycle, traced the transformation of authors to cultural concept.
