There is considered the regional toponymy based on the material of geographical names with the meaning expanse of water, reservoir. There is suggested the field approach to characterizing functional and semantic unity of language units at different synchronous profiles of the period from the end XIX - beginning XXI centuries in Russian literature language development taking into account the system relations of proprietary vocabulary in the frame of the assignable segment of model-based field structure.
