There is substantiated the author’s conception of the lexicographic development of phraseological oxymorons in learner’s local linguistic dictionaries. There are thoroughly considered the methods of phraseographic description of contrary oxymorons. There are given the examples of dictionary entries.

There are described the peculiarities of speech realization of phraseological meaning in phraseological context, methods of lexicographic description of phraseological unit communicative and pragmatic characteristics. There are given the examples of lexicographic notion of phraseological unit meaning in authors text illustrations.
