There is regarded the influence of Indian raga on the creative work of the American composer La Monte Young. There is proved that in the period of Youngs minimalism main constants forming Indian raga had key influence on the composer. Based on the analysis of Indian music peculiarities there are revealed the main features of minimalism style conception in Youngs creative work.
