There is regarded the character of communicative effects produced by texts of different genres and styles in the conditions of bilingual (translated) communication. There is suggested considering the communicative effect as a derivative of the text function and as the way of the authors communicative intention realization. There is substantiated the impossibility of full coincidence of communicative effects produced by the original and translated versions.
