There is given the issue of teaching the lexical aspect of foreign speech. Success in lexical aspect teaching is provided by taking into account the regularity of pupils cognitive activity, generalized cognitive processes (prediction, encoding and transfer), including in the educational process different lexical strategies realized through the system of methods thoroughly described in the article.
