There is covered the issue of modern cultural texts (by the example of animated films) as the source of preschool childrens role plays. There are suggested the results of video observation of preschool childrens plays based on the plot of a modern animated cartoon. It is concluded that it is possible to develop preschool childrens playing activities on the basis of modern animated films.
