There are analyzed the stories and short novels by Gaidar for children. There are shown the peculiarities of objectification of emotion of fear depending on the issues, the plot and the psychological status of the characters (age, gender, situation, temper). Special attention is paid to the stories “School” and “Timur and His Team”.

There are analyzed the views of a famous Russian writer V.V.Bianki on childrens literature, which allows more accurate estimation of the writers creative work. Nowadays there is a strong tradition to consider the writers works as scientific and fiction, to which he objected. The analysis of the writers articles and diaries, in which he states his views persistently and logically, allows dispelling the fixed stereotypes in the interpretation of his works, which has both theoretical and practical meaning.
