There is put forward the hypothesis that the comic is one of the projections of the self-organizing creative form of paradoxical (language) thinking, which appears at the edge of the unconscious and the conscious.

The tragic as a polyprofile cognitive structure, a unit of the mental lexicon Memory, along with the comic and absurd, is an element of self-organizing system - paradox. The behaviour of such a system may be described with the help of dynamic unsteady variables - sequence parameters. One of the variable characteristics of the tragic is complementarity (to ordinary consciousness, culture, language), that is expressed in fixed models, social and language practice.
