There is shown the issue of bilingual lexicographical representation of proverbs in linguistic and culturological aspect. According to the authors conception, ethnic and cultural specificity of proverbs is reflected by means of their thematic classification, signs of similarities and differences of figurative structures and commenting of culture-determined components
