There are considered the notions “moderator” and “subject of monitoring”, determined the role of the subject of monitoring in organization of the communicative process, as well as revealed its specific character for various types of discourse.

There is represented the potential of the informational environment of a higher school as an integrated mechanism of socialization. There are revealed the notions of subject and object of monitoring, described the interaction of various subjects of educational work in the informational environment of a higher school, as well as the potential of monitoring of increase of the educational work effectiveness.

There is considered the notion “self-monitoring of communication”, found out the levels of self-monitoring, revealed and systematized the parameters of its implementation.
