There are analyzed the difficulties of students in personal and professional establishment at a pedagogical higher school. There are suggested the forms of psychological and pedagogical, organizational and pedagogical support of development of students’ civil identity in the process of professional training.

There are characterized the directions of improving the contents, forms of educational and professional work of a student - future primary school teacher in the process of professional training at a higher school in the conditions of the new educational standard of the second generation implementation.
