On the basis of the analysis of philosophers, sociologists, psychologists and pedagogues there are defined and revealed the essential characteristics of the informational educational environment, carried out the historical analysis of the category environment and educational environment, characterized the stages of establishment and development of the informational educational environment in Russia.
