There are suggested the results of the complex analysis of small prose by S.T. Aksakov that are significant for characterizing the writers style with the consideration of such attributes as rhythm, composition, verbal pictures

There are given the research results of the rhythmic system of Family Chronicles, which allows finding out the peculiarities of the prose style of S.T. Aksakov. There is taken into consideration the specific character of correlation and interdependence of colons in phrasal components and phrases, phrases in paragraphs, in particular: correlation of colons in syllable amount, peculiarities of distribution and interaction of in-phrase and inter-phrase beginnings and endings - stressed and unstressed; there is also determined the role of syntactic means in texts rhythmic structure.
