The article deals with the essence and structural organization of a teacher’s readiness for activities aimed to improve students’ health, which is the most important task of the domestic education in the modern conditions. It is proved that its structure dynamically corresponds to the stages of health-care activities, and statically includes the motivational and semantic, cognitive, behavioral and technological elements.

There is considered the role of kalokagathia ideal in the process of formation of creative culture of subject of the post-industrial modernization of Russia. Based on the analysis of the historic and pedagogic material and requirements of post-industrial realities to personality, there is concluded that creative work should be focused on the ideal, which is the invariant of the antique kalokagathia.

There is characterized the role of health improving culture of a teacher in improvement of the quality of human potential. There is supposed that health improving activity should take place in appropriate environment and be of systemic character; it becomes one of the prerequisites of formation of a subject of post-industrial modernization of the Russian society.
