There is covered the issue of interrelations between ideology and language: language as the object of ideological struggle and language as the means of ideological influence on the mass in the pre-Soviet and the Soviet period. There is used the information from linguistic research, explanatory dictionaries of the Russian language of the XIX-XXI centuries, the materials from periodicals.
