The article deals with the social, theoretical and methodological premises of the theory of a holistic educational process, provides the critical analysis of its state, describes the prospects of its development in the conditions of theclassical paradigm of pedagogical knowledge and the need to integrate various knowledge about the genesis of man in accordancewith this theory.

The author shows the methodological role of the culturological and person-oriented approaches in projecting of educational systems that provide the development of a student’s personal sphere, finds out the conditions for creating personality developing situations and the ways to prepare teachers for such work.

There is considered the essence of project thinking as the key competence of a modern specialist that provides one’s involvement into the innovation work. There are revealed the criteria and ways of diagnostics of the competence; given the results of the experimental work.

There are represented the approaches to the research and organization of the process of personal patriotic position establishment in accordance with the ideas and principles of personal developing education.

There are revealed the methodological foundations of research work and the coordinating functions of the VSSPU scientific and educational centre of the Russian Academy of Education as the element of the network model of psychological and pedagogic research organization.

There are covered the issues of overcoming the crisis in the sphere of pedagogic education and training teachers in accordance with teacher’s professional work standards. There are suggested the approaches to metadisciplinary integration of pedagogic education within key professional tasks and situations.

There are revealed the collisions and difficulties that turned out in the process of realization of educational standards in the sphere of pedagogical education; shown the ways of competence approach implementation considering the specificity of pedagogic work.

The holistic approach is represented as the system of regulations research and educational process structure. There is substantiated the necessity of overcoming the reduction of holistic approach to the natural-science interpretation of integrity only as the organizational form of educational process and using the model of humanities, revealing the integrity of the process organization subject.

The mentioned bases are considered in the field of ideas and traditions of the Volgograd scientific pedagogical school.
