The article deals with the topical issues of modernization of school geographical education in the context of the culture and ideas of sustainable development. The authors review the new guidelines for the greening of school geography associated with ecohumanistic ideas and ideals in geography and formation of geo-ecological education. The methodological approaches to the school geoecological education based on the co-evolutional values and the content of geoecology are under consideration in the article.

There are considered the issues of theory and methodology of the use of information and communication technologies for steady development. There is shown that the conceptual foundations include methodological approaches and principles, target, content, procedural, technological and result and estimation components. The methodological foundations are revealed in the electronic information and communication modules. It provides the integrity of the issue.
