There are covered such issues as teaching mathematics on the basis of activity approach with the use of “training cards” that regulate pupils’ educational work, problematic and developing education as the means of optimization of the process of teaching mathematics. There is suggested the comparative characteristics of the traditional and “activity” mathematics teaching.

There is regarded the urgent issue of mathematical training quality improvement of senior pupils. As the main directions there is considered the specialization of school education at the senior stage and creation of the integral educational space in the process of mathematics study.
