There is considered the novel by D.N. Begichev “The Kholmsky Family” as the example of moral descriptive fiction of its time, as well as in connection with the main value guidelines of historiography of N.A. Polevoy implemented in one of the leading areas of the modern science – particular history, or the history of everyday life.
