There is shown the language representation of one of the aspects of a situation of smell cognition by a person. The analysis of the material is carried out on the basis of the idea of linguistic forms validity by the cognitive processes of a person, which allows finding out the regularities of conceptualization of the place of smell on the basis of language formations.
