There is described the functioning of the infinitive constructions in the New Testament. There is analyzed the text of the Greek original and the Church Slavonic translation of the Bible, researched the methods of translation of the infinitive constructions into the Church Slavonic language.

There is characterized the use of substantive participles in the New Testament. There are analyzed the texts of Greek origin and the Russian Synodal translation of the Bible. There is made the conclusion that in most cases substantive participles are used as a part of different rhetoric devices.
