Features of thematic progression use at various levels in the English language
The article deals with the contexts focused on the development of the thematic component of the theme and rhema text structure in sentences and paragraphs, and identifies the language bearers of the thematic progression. It is proved that the lexical and semantic bearers of the thematic plan for a newspaper text are repetitions, paraphrase, deixis. Parallel constructions, passive constructions, inversions are structural and syntactic means of expressing text themes.

Issue of transmission of the linguistic phenomenon “hypothetical reality” in the modern English language (based on analytical articles)
This article deals with theways of transmission of the hypothetical reality in the English language analytical articles.The purpose of this article is to show how an assumption in analytical newspaper articles can be verbalized bythe linguistic devices with the meaning of hypotheses. The author develops the thesis that the linguistic devicesform its general modality. The research proves that the means of hypothesis representation are heterogeneous in their linguistic expression and they correspond both to one word and sentenceas a whole or its part. The analysis of the linguistic material shows that the hypothetical reality in the analytical articles is an unconventional interpretation of reality by the author.
