There is described the content and the structure of professional scientific competence of bachelors studying 050100 Pedagogic Education (Specialization “Chemistry”) in the field of the basic science. The structure of professional competence is represented by three components – cognitive, operational and activity, motivational and value, which agrees with the model created by A.N. Leontyev. There is discussed the role of physical and analytical chemistry in its development.

There is discussed the experience of modular programme projecting, which is based on special professional competences, in the discipline Physical chemistry. On the basis of the programme there is a functional card of a teacher of chemistry and the requirements of federal educational standards. The modular programme consists of the structure, specification, documentation on assessment mechanisms and learning materials. There are considered the contents of all the components of the programme.
